Biography
In 2001, while most of its members were still navigating their teenage years, the Buffalo, New York band It Dies Today assembled. The group merged bruising death metal with post-hardcore to produce an explosive hybrid widely known as metalcore. After extensive touring and the release of their self-financed EP Forever Scorned, vocalists Nick Brooks, guitarists Mike Hatalak and Christopher Cappelli, bassist Steve Lemke, and drummer Nick Mirusso signed with Trustkill Records. The Caitiff Choir, their first full-length album, surfaced in 2004, while the follow-up effort Sirens appeared in 2006.
