British singer Beka cultivates a lush, immersive sound within dance-oriented electronic pop and R&B. Recognition first arrived through her contributions to HONNE before she stepped forward independently with the October 2020 single "I'll Be There." Her debut EP, Your Skin, followed in 2022 and included the track "Don't Call Me a Friend," while subsequent releases brought "Tears" and "Vulnerable" in 2023; that same year she placed "Forever" in the Apple TV+ series Trying.

Rebeka Prance, who records as Beka, was born in Nottingham and raised in a creatively vibrant, multicultural home. Her father, a cellist of British and Nigerian descent, and her mother, a dancer of British and West Indian heritage, surrounded her with music and movement from childhood. Early exposure to classic soul by Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, and Chaka Khan, followed later by Lauryn Hill, sparked her interest in singing. She began writing original material as a teenager and later pursued university studies in vocals and music. During that period she formed the electronic duo These Your Children with fellow singer/songwriter Joe Baxter. While still at school she encountered HONNE, sang on several of their recordings, and joined them on tour. Her solo career opened with "I'll Be There" in October 2020, and the 2022 EP Your Skin preceded the 2023 singles and the 2024 contribution to Trying.
