Biography
From the dawn of the 1990s onward, Benjamin Wild crafted recordings for some of Germany’s leading tech-house imprints, among them Perlon, Kompakt, and Force Tracks. At first the German producer worked on the Fax label with Peyman Shamlou, yet over time he steered his output more squarely toward the dancefloor. His Kompakt release Kronberg drew wide notice throughout the international techno scene, just as his contributions to Perlon, the highly regarded German label, did. Alongside those efforts and further releases on smaller imprints such as Festplatten and Dial, Wild also began supplying material to Force Tracks, the tech-house subsidiary of Force Inc. After two 12-inch records appeared, the Frankfurt-based label issued his debut full-length album, With Compliments. The set gathered one earlier Perlon track, “f(m).com,” together with several cuts from the Force Tracks 12"s, although most of the album’s contents remained previously unreleased.
