Benny Blanco has secured dozens of chart-topping successes as a producer, generating luminous pop tracks in a manner comparable to fellow creators Dr. Luke, Ryan Tedder, Max Martin, and Stargate. From the close of the 2000s onward, this Grammy-nominated and award-winning songwriter composed hit singles for performers including Ed Sheeran, Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, and others, authoring numerous number-one entries along the way such as Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" and Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" while accumulating more than 100 million album units sold. His first solo outing arrived in 2018 with the platinum-certified Friends Keep Secrets LP, followed by a sequel EP released in 2021.

Born Benjamin Levin and raised in Reston, Virginia, the artist began as a bedroom producer whose early influences included Aqua and Bryan Adams. During his teenage years he issued a joint album with Spank Rock titled Spank Rock and Benny Blanco Are...Bangers & Cash. Shortly thereafter he gained key guidance from Disco D and subsequently from Dr. Luke, which propelled his rapid climb to prominence on the pop charts. Among his initial successes were Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" and "Hot N Cold," along with Kesha's "Tik Tok" and Britney Spears' "Circus." Throughout the 2010s Blanco expanded his catalog with further work for Perry and Kesha while cultivating ongoing partnerships with Maroon 5, Sheeran, Bieber, Rixton, and additional artists. Demonstrating range across styles, he created material for country performer Keith Urban, R&B vocalist Rihanna, teen-pop figure Ariana Grande, indie groups Passion Pit and Francis and the Lights, and Diplo's electro-dancehall outfit Major Lazer.

During 2018, while writing songs for Cardi B, Anne-Marie, and Juice WRLD, Blanco participated in Kanye West's Wyoming Sessions endeavors, lending contributions to Ye, Kids See Ghosts, and Nasir. That same summer he released his debut single, the multi-platinum Top Ten "Eastside," featuring Halsey and Khalid; the track later appeared on his introductory album Friends Keep Secrets (Interscope), which surfaced near the end of 2018 and also contained the successes "I Found You" with Calvin Harris plus "Roses" with Juice WRLD and Brendon Urie. An additional pairing with Juice WRLD, "Graduation," emerged in 2019, joined by "I Can't Get Enough" alongside Tainy, Selena Gomez, and J Balvin. Subsequent releases encompassed the Grammy-nominated 2020 track "Lonely" with Justin Bieber and 2021's "You" with Marshmello and Vance Joy, the latter included on Blanco's Friends Keep Secrets 2 EP. The 2022 single "Bad Decisions" incorporated further prominent team-ups, this time uniting BTS and Snoop Dogg.
