Los Angeles rap duo BlueBucksClan favor stripped-down, sharply aggressive instrumentals that leave ample room for their direct rhymes centered on wealth, dominance, and indulgence. Emerging from independent mixtape releases, the pair quickly linked with Quavo and Lil Yachty for the 2021 effort Clan Virus 2. Further releases followed via the 2022 EP See the Difference and the 18-track Clan Way 3, while a full 2024 project with producer Hit-Boy took the title Biggest Out the West.

Childhood friends DJ and Jeeezy formed BlueBucksClan in 2019 after growing up together in South Los Angeles, meeting during high school, and later attending college on football scholarships. Post-graduation nine-to-five employment gave way to a full commitment to music, beginning with their debut mixtape Clan Way that same year. Steady output ensued through projects such as No Rules, Clan Way 2, Going Up, Clan Virus, and No Rules 2. By the time Clan Virus 2 arrived in March 2021, the duo had joined Universal Music Group’s Out the Blue Records imprint. That mixtape incorporated verses from label affiliate Bino Rideaux alongside appearances and production from Quavo, Hit-Boy, Cash Kidd, and Lil Yachty. The four-song EP See the Difference surfaced in 2022 and was succeeded later that year by the more expansive Clan Way 3, which contained the Jeremih collaboration “Let Me Know” and the Cash Kidd feature “Have You Ever.” Biggest Out the West, issued in 2024 as a complete partnership with Hit-Boy, also featured Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz, and Ty Dolla $ign.
