British electronic dance duo Bodyrox, formed by Jon Pearn and Nick Bridges, achieved worldwide club recognition in 2006 via the track "Yeah Yeah," issued across numerous mixes designed for distinct dance audiences. Beyond that signature release, the pair maintained additional production collaborations under the guises Pearn & Bridges and Another Chance, each building on prior individual accomplishments that predated their joint work.

Pearn had already established himself as a seasoned producer and remixer with credits stretching back to the early 1990s. His most prominent alliance came through Michael Gray in Full Intention, the influential British house outfit that rose to prominence in 1994 with a widely embraced remix of Duke's "So in Love with You." Subsequent hit productions under that banner included "America (I Love America)" (1995), "Uptown Downtown" (1996), "You Are Somebody" (1996), "Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)" (1997), "Everybody Loves the Sunshine" (1998), "(Do The) Spanish Hustle" (1999), "I'll Be Waiting" (2001), "What Do You Want?" (2002), and "Your Day Is Coming" (2003), complemented by an extensive catalog of remixes for artists such as Mariah Carey ("Through the Rain"), Whitney Houston ("Whatchulookinat"), George Michael ("Amazing"), Brandy ("Full Moon"), Christina Milian ("Dip It Low"), Junior Jack ("E-Samba"), Masters at Work ("To Be in Love"), Ultra Naté ("Free"), and Jamiroquai ("Cosmic Girl").

While Pearn's Full Intention tenure positioned him among the foremost figures in British house throughout the mid- to late 1990s and early 2000s, Bridges simultaneously cultivated his profile as a leading house DJ. His career behind the decks began in 1992 and led to an affiliation with the London superclub Ministry of Sound in 1998. He served as a touring resident there from 1999 to 2005 and as a London resident from 2002 to 2005, while also hosting a radio program on Kiss 105 (Vibe FM) and overseeing several entries in Ministry of Sound's Housexy mix series, including Autumn 05 (2005), The Sounds of Playboy (2006), Sounds of Summer (2006), and Spring 2006 (2006).

Following their introduction in Ibiza in 2003 and subsequent decision to collaborate, Pearn and Bridges launched their output as Pearn & Bridges in 2004 on Seamus Haji's Big Love label with Ruff Beats, then issued Street Price (2005) and Give It All You Got (2006) via their own Juki Records imprint. Their Bodyrox debut arrived in 2005 with "Yeah Yeah" on Eye Industries. Conceived initially as an electro cut, the track received further treatments, among them a "Club Mix" by D. Ramirez and a "Pearn & Bridges Dub," both of which matched the original's reach. Sander Kleinenberg included the dub on his mix album This Is Everybody! On Tour (2005), while the D. Ramirez version gained anthem status, appearing on roughly two dozen compilations throughout 2006 alongside frequent club play, particularly in Ibiza. That momentum prompted a 2006 licensing deal with Universal Music Group, accompanied by a radio edit and vocal rendition featuring Luciana.

In the aftermath of "Yeah Yeah," the duo prepared the Bodyrox follow-up "What Planet You On?" (2007), again featuring vocalist Luciana, for major-label distribution. They simultaneously explored material under the fresh alias Another Chance, beginning with "Sound of Eden" (2006) on Phonetic Recordings, which was reworked the next year as "Everytime I See Her (Sound of Eden)" for release on Positiva/EMI.
