Bro'Sis

Bro'Sis came together in 2001 during the second season of Germany's Popstar, one among countless acts assembled worldwide after the success of programs such as Pop Idol and Popstar. The original lineup featured the show's winners—Shaham Joyce, Hila Bronstein, Giovanni Zarella, Ross Antony, Faiz-Kevin Magnat, and Verena "Indira" Weis—and the six-piece outfit issued Never Forget (Where You Came From) the following year. That debut topped the German and Austrian album charts. Before the 2003 release of Days of Our Lives, Indira revealed her departure, leaving the remaining members to continue as a quintet. Later the same year the five-piece joined other Popstar alumni for a cover of "Do They Know It's Christmas." Their third and final album, Showtime, arrived in 2004 and shifted the sound toward a stronger hip-hop influence, yet sales proved disappointing. In 2005 the group declared a hiatus that, by 2006, had become a permanent split, with each member turning toward individual endeavors.
