Biography
Bryan Popin, a singer and songwriter now based in Nashville, launched his professional path at age 12 by performing piano with a gospel ensemble that toured from his home state of New Jersey. As the child of a choir director, he developed an early affinity for Christian music and devoted his teenage years to cutting instrumental piano-driven worship projects before experimenting with pop. Friend and R&B producer Ira Schickman introduced him to Justin Timberlake, resulting in a co-written track that landed on *NSYNC’s 2001 release Celebrity. He later joined forces with soul legend Chaka Khan. Deeply anchored in gospel yet drawn toward pop, Popin secured a contract with eOne Music and issued his debut vocal worship album, the 2013 set You Can Make It, which he co-produced with Schickman. Two years afterward came Peace Series, Vol. 1, an instrumental worship collection featuring calming solo-piano pieces. The AyRon Lewis-produced single “I Got Out” surfaced in 2017.
