Clavish

British rapper Cian Wright, performing as Clavish, moves fluidly between U.K. drill and trap while laying bare past experiences through sharp, unflinching lines over minimal production. Born in London's Stamford Hill, he first appeared in 2018 with the track "All These Funds," yet wider attention arrived only in 2020 after a GRM Daily appearance. His 2021 singles "One of a Kind" and "Like This" each drew millions of streams, setting the stage for a 2022 debut EP that also brought a deal with Polydor Records, the Universal subsidiary. Even as interest intensified he avoided interviews, keeping his distance from journalists and letting the recordings speak instead. His first mixtape, Rap Game Awful, arrived in 2023 and reached number four on the U.K. Albums Chart.
