Biography
From childhood onward, Cori Yarckin thrived whenever attention turned her way. Raised in the Orlando area, she performed dance routines for Disney specials, performed children’s opera, and trained in theater as well. The year 2000 marked a breakthrough for Yarckin: she secured the part of Camille Ruiz in the short-lived Nickelodeon children’s sitcom Noah Knows Best while also logging brief on-screen moments in ABC’s pop-reality series Making the Band. After Noah’s cancellation the following year, she channeled that visibility into her developing music career. Yarckin cut a demo and entered an America Online-sponsored competition open to unsigned artists. By late 2003 she had advanced to the semifinals, positioning herself for the final round scheduled for early the next year.
