Crucified

Distinguishable from a Swedish death metal outfit active during the same era, the Fresno, California-based Christian thrashcore group America's Crucified originated in the mid-1980s. Vocalist Mark Saloman, guitarist Greg Minier, bassist Jeff Bellew, and drummer Jim Chaffin formed the band, which went on to release two albums—The Crucified in 1988 and The Pillars of Humanity in 1991—before dissolving amid broad disinterest. A third collection titled Nailed appeared in 1994, yet it contained only repackaged early demos instead of new material and produced no actual reunion.
