Biography
Daniel Weatherspoon, a producer, composer, and musical director based in the Washington, D.C. area, has earned Grammy and Dove Awards for his work in passionate, jazz-influenced gospel and R&B. In addition to his studio work, he holds a staff position at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Maryland. His Chicago upbringing led him to start performing in church settings prior to entering the professional music world. On tour he has appeared alongside Beyoncé, Carl Thomas, BeBe & CeCe Winans, and numerous other artists. His production résumé includes projects with VaShawn Mitchell, Destiny's Child, the Clark Sisters, Donald Lawrence & the Tri-City Singers, and additional collaborators. In 2008 he issued his first full-length album, Official. He resurfaced in 2016 with The Langley Park Project, which includes contributions from Tommy Sims, Leon Lacey, Javier Solis, and further guests.
