Biography
David Usher, recognized chiefly as lead singer of the Canadian alt-rock group Moist, entered the world in Oxford, England, on April 24, 1966. After growing up in Kingston, Ontario, he enrolled in political science at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, where he assembled Moist in 1992 with guitarist Mark Makowy and keyboardist Kevin Young. The band issued two albums—Silver in 1994 and Creature in 1996—before Usher paused to deliver his first solo recording, Little Songs, in 1998.
