Biography
Singer and producer Deaton Chris Anthony crafts a playful fusion of soul, house, and '80s-style electro-pop. His breakthrough arrived via the 2019 single "Racecar" with Clairo, which opened the door to his first album, BO Y. The follow-up full-length, Sid the Kid, appeared in 2022.
Originally named Andrew Lovgren, he spent his childhood in Olathe, Kansas, before moving to Los Angeles to begin releasing music. That same year he drew attention for the catchy, atmospheric "Racecar," now also featuring Coco & Clair Clair. The song landed on BO Y, his debut album. In 2020 he issued the EP Boogy Woogy. Sid the Kid, his next album, showcased appearances by Beabadoobee, Benee, and Mac DeMarco. He additionally started an apparel brand specializing in arty hoodies.
