Allan Kingdom

Emerging with guest spots next to Sia and Paul McCartney, Allan Kingdom moved rapidly from relative obscurity to a Kanye West collaboration in 2015. Born in Canada, he began rapping at age nine inside a church, where another parishioner steered him toward hip-hop and helped him complete a Christian rap album before he reached ten. Roughly a decade later he was based in St. Paul, Minnesota, delivering husky vocals over lyrics that sat between hardcore and indie. Kingdom wrote, produced, and issued the Talk to Strangers EP in 2013; the Future Memoirs EP followed the next year. Working with Plain Pat and Kanye West in 2015, he joined Sia and Paul McCartney as featured artists on West’s So Help Me God album. The 2016 Northern Lights mixtape included appearances by Chronixx, Jared Evan, and D.R.A.M., and was succeeded in early 2017 by the full-length Lines. In 2018 he released the Peanut Butter Prince EP, which contained the single “Globe.”
