Biography
Hailing from Ragusa, Italy, pop vocalist Deborah Iurato first sang at the age of five and later earned spare money by performing at events while attending art school. Breakthrough exposure came when she joined and won the thirteenth season of the talent competition Amici di Maria de Filippi. She entered the program in early 2014; that spring, after signing with Sony, she issued a self-titled EP crafted by songwriter/producer/musician Mario Lavezzi, which reached number two on the Italian album chart. Her victory that fall led to the release of debut full-length album Libere, produced by Lavezzi and studio master Nicolò Fragile, and it landed inside the Top 20 in her home country.
