Biography
Born Maria Chiara Fraschetta on February 2, 1983, in Piacenza, Italy, Nina Zilli launched her solo career with the 2009 single “50 Mila,” a duet featuring Giuliano Palma. That same year Universal Music issued her self-titled eight-track EP, which explored R&B, reggae, Motown, and ’60s-style pop. Her first full-length album, Sempre Lontano, arrived the following year and collected the EP’s eight songs alongside four fresh tracks. The set’s lead single, “L’Uomo Che Amava le Donne,” earned a spotlight at the 2010 Sanremo Festival and helped the album reach the Top Five on the Italian charts.
