Biography
Born on October 22, 1985, in Milan, Italian vocalist and reality-show participant Roberta Bonanno first drew notice from television viewers when she joined the 2007-2008 cast of the hit talent competition Amici di Maria di Filippi, at that time still carrying its earlier title Saranno Famosi. Among the season’s most prominent contestants, she advanced all the way to the finale yet finished in second place behind frontrunner Marco Carta. The strong impression she left nevertheless prompted Sony BMG Italy to extend her a recording contract. Under that agreement her debut EP, Non Ho Più Paura, reached stores in July 2008 and achieved modest commercial results.
