Biography
Stockholm native Doktor Kosmos first attracted attention through occasional keyboard work with the Swedish kitsch-core outfit Komeda while separately issuing collections of wildly eccentric yet irresistibly melodic Casio synth-pop. An early fascination with porno-billy prompted him to assemble the group Handsome Hank and the Hookers upon turning 17 in the capital. That ensemble later transformed into Doktor Kosmos and the Starlight Orchestra, fronted by him on vocals. After issuing one Swedish-language album he delivered Cocktail through Minty Fresh in 1997. He has also collaborated sporadically with fellow Swede Magnus Åström, known as Friend.
