Biography
Elah Hale, a versatile talent from New York, balanced her pursuits in performance art, theater, and modeling alongside her enduring love for music prior to officially starting her path as a singer and songwriter during 2018. This self-assured approach to crafting tunes, fusing intelligent and richly textured pop elements with subtle R&B influences, secured her an agreement with Interscope, the label behind her 2019 EP titled Room 206.
Originating from the East Village and brought up in Park Slope, Brooklyn, Hale engaged with creative fields early on, with her parents supporting her musical interests. Guitar lessons commenced when she turned five, leading to original compositions shortly thereafter. Upon enrolling at Bard College to study theater, she had already distributed tracks via multiple digital outlets and taken modeling gigs to fund recording sessions. Despite having just a pair of self-issued singles that generated attention, the twenty-year-old Hale secured an Interscope Records contract and put out her first EP, Room 206, during 2019.
