Biography
Elemeno P, a New Zealand rock band, shifts between punk-pop laced with alternative metal and acoustic-driven pieces rooted in folk traditions, at times combining both approaches inside a single track. Its members are Dave Gibson on vocals, Scotty Pearson on drums, Justyn Pilbrow on guitars and background vocals, and Lani Purkis on bass and background vocals. The group formed in 2003 and released its debut album Love and Disrespect, which reached number one on the national chart immediately upon arrival. Trouble in Paradise, the second album, appeared in 2005. Gibson and Pilbrow also work as actors.
