Emily Weisband, recognized as a heartfelt pop artist, first earned recognition in songwriting circles once her composition “Thy Will” captured a Grammy in 2017. That achievement opened doors to her own releases, including the 2020 EP Not Afraid to Say Goodbye and the 2021 set I Call It Being Human.

Raised in Virginia, she picked up the guitar at ten and began composing original material during her teenage years. Following graduation, she pursued music studies at Belmont University in Nashville and secured a publishing agreement with THiS Music/Warner Chappell in 2014. Her catalog grew to include contributions for Keith Urban, Lauren Alaina, P!nk, Lady A, Camilla Cabello, and additional acts. The same year her Grammy arrived, Hillary Scott & the Scott Family recorded “Thy Will,” which earned the award for Best Contemporary Christian Performance/Song. Weisband stepped forward as a solo performer in 2019 via the single “Identity Crisis,” then issued Not Afraid to Say Goodbye as an EP the following year and I Call It Being Human one year after that.
