Emma Roberts

Young actress and singer Emma Roberts first gained widespread attention through her lead performance as Addie Singer on the Nickelodeon series Unfabulous, where the character relied on original songs to steer through typical teenage challenges. Born to actor Eric Roberts and niece to Julia Roberts, she secured an early opportunity at age eight by working as an extra on one of her aunt’s feature films. Although her mother initially pushed her toward guitar lessons, Roberts showed little interest until those same skills proved essential for landing her role on Unfabulous. Her first album, Unfabulous and More, arrived in 2005 and incorporated tracks drawn directly from the series along with additional material written in its spirit. While preparing the show’s second season, she also took on roles in the Nancy Drew film plus the movies Aquamarine and Bras and Broomsticks.
