Biography
Enzo Gragnaniello, an Italian vocalist and composer, crafts introspective and articulate compositions that merge modern pop elements with the heritage of Neapolitan singing. Originating from Naples where he entered the world in 1954, he started composing tunes upon reaching 18 years of age. The year 1977 marked the establishment of his band Banchi Nuovi. Transitioning into the 1980s, he pursued an individual path in music. His first record, bearing his own name, came out during 1983, with Salita Trinità Degli Spagnoli appearing as the next effort in 1985. Recognition arrived in 1986 via the esteemed Targa Tenco prize in music. Throughout the 1990s, he maintained output of favorably received recordings such as Fujente in 1990, Un Mondo Che Non C'è from 1993, Continuerò issued in 1996, and Oltre Gli Alberi released in 1999. Extending his focus on Neapolitan sounds in 2003, he partnered with James Senese for the project Tribù e Passione. Subsequent releases included Quanto Mi Costa in 2005 along with Erba Cattiva during 2007. Radice emerged as his 2011 album offering.
