Biography
Emerging as an intense metal endeavor spearheaded by John Cooper of Skillet, Fight the Fury abandons the religious post-grunge elements characteristic of his primary group in favor of a more intricate and aggressive style influenced by Metallica, Dream Theater, and Megadeth. During Skillet tours in the early 2010s, Cooper first conceived the desire to revisit his heavy metal origins. By 2017, this vision materialized through the assembly of a group that included Seth Morrison on guitar from Skillet, along with drummer Jared Ward and guitarist John Panzer III. October 2018 saw the release of their initial full-length effort, Still Breathing, on Atlantic Records.
