Biography
VERIDIA emerged from Nashville with an expansive sonic approach fusing glitch-driven electronics and elevated alt-rock textures, gaining swift momentum after their 2013 formation. Their opening EP, Inseparable, entered the Billboard Christian albums chart in the Top 20 upon its 2014 release.
Deena Jakoub on vocals and guitarist Brandon Brown, both originally from Dallas, Texas, had already dissolved their prior band Don't Wake Aislin before relocating to Nashville, Tennessee. There they enlisted guitarist Trevor Hinesley and drummer Kyle Levy, launching local shows while pursuing festival appearances. Word Entertainment signed the group and issued Inseparable in 2014, a project anchored by the Dove-nominated single "We Are the Brave." A year later the follow-up EP Pretty Lies returned them to the Christian albums chart's Top 30. Hinesley exited in 2016, just before the band joined Evanescence for a U.S. tour.
After leaving Word, VERIDIA self-released their first full-length album, The Beast You Feed. Arriving in 2018, it reached the Top 40 on the independent albums chart and became their third consecutive title to appear on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
