Biography
Emerging from St. Louis, Missouri, Final Drive functions as a punishing Southern groove thrash metal outfit whose sound draws from a broad range of veteran heavy acts, among them Pantera, AC/DC, Slayer, Machine Head, and Clutch. The group formed in 2002 and centers on guitarist Nathan Easter, vocalist Jordan Gaw, drummer Alex Wheeler, and bassist Ray Tucker. Its independent debut, Good Things Come to Those Who Refuse to Wait, surfaced in 2004 and was followed by Firebrand Sessions in 2006, Under the Overpass of America in 2009, and Lifeswork in 2014. Early 2017 brought the band’s fifth studio album, Dig Deeper.
