Biography
Finding Favour operates as a four-piece American group focused on contemporary Christian music and praise & worship, marked by a warm adult alternative aesthetic. Childhood friends Blake NeeSmith and Allen Dukes launched the project in southern Georgia in 2005, with NeeSmith on vocals and Dukes on guitar; bass player Dustin Daniels came aboard soon after. Daniels’ missionary contacts from South America helped the band secure tour dates linked to ministry work in Chile, the Dominican Republic, and Guatemala. Drummer Josh Duckworth rounded out the lineup once the musicians settled in Nashville, where Gotee Records took notice and signed them in 2012. Rob Hawkins (Building 429, the Letter Black) and Dustin Burnett (Boiling Point, Steve Noonan) produced the Finding Favour EP, issued in 2013, while the band’s debut full-length, Reborn, appeared in summer 2015. Finding Favour released the single “It Is Well” in June 2017 ahead of its second album, Farewell Fear, which surfaced that September.
