Blanca

Born in Puerto Rico and raised in the United States, Blanca Elaine Callahan records under the name Blanca as an Orlando, Florida-based CCM pop vocalist. Before embarking on a solo path, the singer spent ten years fronting Christian hip-hop act Group 1 Crew. Founded in 2003, the ensemble landed a deal with Fervent Records, a Warner Bros. imprint, and issued four albums that registered strongly on Billboard’s Christian charts throughout the late 2000s. Blanca declared her exit from the group in 2013 and turned her attention to independent material. Powered by commanding vocals and polished pop instincts, her songs stay grounded in Christian conviction while retaining broad crossover potential. The Who I Am EP surfaced in January 2015 and was followed months later by her self-titled debut album. Combining uplifting pop, soul, dance, and hip-hop, the long-player entered the Top Ten of the Christian chart and reached the pop Top 200. In 2016 she delivered the remix EP Not Backing Down; the following year she unveiled the single “Real Love,” the initial preview of her sophomore album Shattered, which appeared in 2018. Her first Spanish-language project, the EP Quebrantado, arrived in 2019.
