In 1969 Brian and Ed Pilling, both former Wages of the Sin members, launched Fludd alongside Jorn Anderson and Greg Godovitz. Peter Czankey entered the lineup in 1972, followed by Gord Waszek two years afterward. Although the group’s opening singles came out on Warner Brothers, the musicians switched to Daffodil for their self-titled debut album and the companion release On!, both issued in 1972. Attic delivered Great Expectations in 1976, yet the band dissolved after Brian Pilling succumbed to cancer in 1978. The 1977 compilation From the Attic ’71 to ’77 gathered their greatest hits, and Greg Godovitz subsequently formed Goddo.
