Biography
Influenced by the sounds of '80s post-punk, Glass Towers from Sydney, Australia revolve around frontman Benjamin Hannam. The group came together in 2008 during the members' high school years in Alstonville, New South Wales, at first operating as Hannam's solo endeavor. By 2009, however, he had joined forces with musicians from various other local acts to establish the core lineup. Exposure through a set at the Splendour in the Grass festival, along with airplay via Triple J radio's Unearthed program, raised their visibility considerably. Their first EP, What We Were, Where We Were, arrived in 2011 with production handled by Wayne Connolly, known for his work with Silverchair and Neil Finn. In 2014 the band issued their initial full-length album, Halcyon Days, produced by Jean-Paul Fung.
