Biography
Leading the subtle indie pop/rock project Graves from Portland stands singer/songwriter Greg Olin. Over the years a rotating cast of family and friends supplied extensive backing support for Olin, allowing Graves to debut with Love Love Love on Film Guerrero in early 2003 before moving to Hush Records for the August 2004 release Yes Yes Okay Okay, an album that incorporated contributions from members of Norfolk & Western, Desert City Soundtrack, and Little Wings. Tracks assembled across a four-year span filled the more diverse and slightly experimental To Sur w/ Love, which surfaced in early summer 2005. Olin’s nearly stream-of-consciousness lyrics and earnest, melodic approach helped Graves maintain a devoted underground audience through the October 2006 arrival of the band’s fourth album, Easy Not Easy.
