Biography
Greg Long had been immersed in the gospel music industry from the time of his birth onward, rendering an offer from Myrrh Records unsurprising. A native of South Dakota, he toured throughout his youth as part of his family's musical ministry group and completed his debut recording at an age when most children were still in kindergarten. He entered into an adult recording agreement with Myrrh in 1993, resulting one year later in the appearance of his first album, Cross My Heart. Anchored by the single "Faith Can Light a Candle," the release performed strongly among gospel listeners. Long substantiated his performing background through hundreds of annual concerts, including support slots for Point of Grace, 4Him and Ray Boltz, along with guest spots on programs such as The 700 Club and Hour of Power. His next project, Days of Grace, surfaced in 1996 and was succeeded by Jesus Saves in 1997. Now reached stores in early 2001.
