Isaac Borquaye, who records under the name Guvna B, works as both a rapper and an author from East London. His output is distinguished by lyrics that uplift listeners, a clear emphasis on Christian themes, and a fusion of grime with gospel music.

June 1989 marks his birth. He entered the music industry in 2008 by issuing his debut album, The Narrow Road. Recognition arrived quickly: in 2009 he received the best gospel act prize at both The Gospel Music Awards and The Urban Music Awards, then added a MOBO Award the next year. The 2011 follow-up Next Ting 140 expanded his profile, which in turn enabled him to establish the clothing label Allo Mate during 2013. Two further albums arrived amid additional victories at The Urban Awards and the MOBO Awards: Odd One Out in 2013 and Secret World in 2015. His first book, Unpopular Culture, appeared in 2017 and challenged prevailing norms by urging readers to pursue contentment and purpose through authenticity. Two more albums followed in quick succession: Hands Are Made for Working in 2018 and Everywhere + Nowhere in 2020.
