Biography
Hailing from the Dublin vicinity, the Irish rap trio Hare Squead fuses hip-hop with pop elements and R&B hooks to produce an energetic and catchy sound. Comprising Tony Konstone along with Lilo Blues, who has also gone by E-Knock, both hailing from Tallaght, and Jessy Rose out of Blanchardstown, the crew first appeared on the scene in 2014. Drawing inspiration equally from Odd Future and Outkast, the group put out several singles including "Zoo of the New" and "Bop with It" ahead of issuing their initial EP, Supernormal, in 2016. This three-track release featured the track "Long Way to Go," which echoes Pharrell, as well as "Loco," marked by its threatening trap style. Following a deal with Columbia, they dropped the single "If I Ask," a captivating number that merges a traditional house rhythm alongside R&B vocals from Rose and rapid rhymes from Tony and Lilo.
