Headcase

Dean Garcia employed Headcase as a pseudonym, the musician primarily recognized for his role in the duo Curve. Before forming Curve, his work as a session bassist included stints alongside Eurythmics, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, and Gang of Four. In the mid-'80s, he participated briefly in State of Play alongside Toni Halliday, who would later become his partner in Curve. During the late '90s, Garcia initiated solo compositions under the Headcase name. Between 1998 and 1999, he created Mushiness, which presented a more subdued version of his typical style through greater reliance on electronics. Garcia handled every aspect of the music himself, though vocals occasionally arose from multiple contributors. Two years afterward came Crosseyedrabbit.
