Biography
Helmut Fritz emerged as a vocalist in the French electronic dance music scene, where his first single, "Ça M'énerve," claimed the top chart position as a major success throughout 2009. Born Éric Greff in 1975 in Béning-lès-Saint-Avold, France, he delivered his initial full-length album, En Observation, that same year through the Dust in Music imprint of Sony Music. Alongside the France-dominant "Ça M'énerve," which additionally secured Top Ten placement in the adjacent French-speaking markets of Belgium and Switzerland, En Observation produced the next single "Miss France," another domestic Top Ten performer. Production and co-writing for the album came from Laurent Konrad, half of the French electronic dance music duo Discobitch, whose 2008 number two hit "C'est Beau la Bourgeoisie" echoes the style of "Ça M'énerve."
