Jenni Alpert

Born in Los Angeles, Jenni Alpert entered the world as a future singer, songwriter, guitarist, and pianist before her adoption at age four. During her time across multiple foster homes she took up singing and piano, soon adding guitar to her abilities and starting to compose original material at a young age. Equally versed in jazz and pop traditions, she earned her degree from UCLA’s Ethnomusicology Department upon finishing the four-year jazz curriculum directed by Kenny Burrell. Her recording career includes the 2005 album Pieces, followed by the solo piano set A Stroll in the Park in 2006, the live vocal-and-piano recording 27 Minutes in Bolgna captured in Italy in 2007, No Second Guesses in 2008, and Underneath the Surface in 2010.
