Kailee Morgue crafts introspective pop marked by wry lyricism, weaving in touches of acoustic balladry alongside indie rock echoes from the 1990s. Her initial attention arrived via the title track from the 2018 Medusa EP, after which she issued the Here in Your Bedroom EP in 2020 and the standalone single “A Good Day to Be My Dealer” in 2022.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Morgue grew up as the second oldest of six siblings in a large household. She began playing guitar near age ten and started composing original material during her teenage years, drawing influence from Stevie Nicks, Gwen Stefani, and Pink Floyd before uploading tracks online. In 2016 the video for her original song “Medusa” spread rapidly, prompting a Republic Records contract; a fresh version produced by C.J. Baran (Carly Rae Jepsen, Panic! At the Disco, Bea Miller) appeared in 2017 and anchored the Medusa EP the following year.

She maintained her partnership with Baran, releasing the single “Headcase” in early 2019 to preview a debut EP. Built around a sample of the Pixies classic “Where Is My Mind?,” the track examined love and fear within relationships—shaped partly by Morgue’s experience with bipolar disorder—and included a feature from Hayley Kiyoko. A second EP, Here in Your Bedroom, surfaced in 2020, succeeded by the singles “Another Day in Paradise” in 2021 and both “A Good Day to Be My Dealer” and “End of My Life” in 2022.
