Biography
Singer and songwriter Kirsten Arian blends buoyant energy with emotional depth across her upbeat pop compositions. Her first full-length project, Higher Than Heaven, surfaced in 2015, and two years afterward she contributed the track “Invincible” to the soundtrack for The LEGO Batman Movie.
Born in Los Angeles, Arian filled notebooks with her own material while still a child yet only began viewing music as a viable profession during her middle and late teenage years. She relocated to Nashville in 2012 to pursue opportunities within the city’s expanding pop community, issuing her opening EP, This City Kills, on her own in April 2013. The next year she won first prize in the Music City Breakthrough competition, which secured her a publishing agreement with RareSpark Media Group. Working alongside Scot Sherrod, she co-produced the 2015 album Higher Than Heaven, released through that same imprint.
Soon afterward she was asked to create material for The LEGO Batman Movie and finished “Invincible” alongside co-writer and producer Lindsay Rimes within just a few hours. Both the film and its soundtrack appeared in February 2017. Arian followed up with the album 3 in late 2018 and then joined Chris Jamison on tour in early 2019.
