Molly Kate Kestner

Hailing from Minnesota, singer-songwriter Molly Kate Kestner first rose to prominence via her track “His Daughter,” which achieved viral circulation on YouTube throughout 2014. Her vocal delivery has drawn comparisons to vocalists such as Adele and Jewel. Chronicling a young woman’s unplanned pregnancy, “His Daughter”—for which Kestner posted a video of her own performance in spring 2014—accumulated millions of views once it attracted notice from Star Trek’s George Takei, pop singer Jordin Sparks, and additional observers. She secured a recording contract with Atlantic Records in 2015, prompting the label to issue a studio cut of “His Daughter” before the close of that year. The single “Good Die Young” surfaced in 2016, while “Prom Queen” and “It’s You” appeared the following year. Kestner delivered one further independent single, “My Way Up,” in 2019.
