Pop singer/songwriter Morgxn crafts energetic indie pop anthems alongside expansive, introspective ballads that trace back to his initial style fusing electronic textures with a soulful R&B shading. After issuing several rhythm-driven singles in his opening years, he shifted toward broader appeal via his first full-length effort, Vital, which appeared in 2018. A steady stream of tracks and team-ups ensued, among them the charting single “Home” alongside Walk the Moon. In 2021 he unveiled the paired EPs that make up Meridian, later consolidated with further material into a proper 2022 album release. Sharpening his craft and stepping more fully into his own skin, he delivered the exultant Beacon in early 2024.

A Nashville native, the expressive performer absorbed music from childhood under the tutelage of his grandfather, a onetime vaudeville vocalist. Splitting time between New York City and Los Angeles, Morgxn inked a deal with Wxnderlost Records and debuted with the 2016 single “Love You with the Lights On.” Still in 2016 he followed with a version of Duran Duran’s “Notorious” and the driving rocker “Home,” whose remixes by LEFTI, Joywave, and Toy Armada propelled the track past four million streams online. The next year brought “XX” and “Hard Pill to Swallow.” Vital arrived as a complete album in 2018, succeeded in January 2019 by the pared-back Vital: Blue EP. Two further singles, “A New Way” and “Omm!,” surfaced later in 2019. Much of 2020 was devoted to joint work with Smallpools, Ambassadeurs, and Meg Myers, while an EP collecting Wonder remixes included fresh takes by PVRIS, Jagwar Twin, and additional contributors; Sara Bareilles added her voice to the title track in 2021. That same year Morgxn issued Meridian, Vol. 1, spotlighting the singles “Porcelain” and “How Do You Hold What Hurts,” then Meridian, Vol. 2, which enlisted Phoebe Ryan on “Broken People” and Now, Now on “Burden.” In 2022 the two volumes were fused with extra cuts and remixes to form the official Meridian album. The following year he launched his next project with the single “Beacon,” whose celebratory tone marked a sonic turn toward buoyant lyrics and gospel-infused uplift. More singles appeared throughout 2023 ahead of Beacon’s official arrival in early 2024.
