Saint Mesa

Danny McCook crafts vibrant, intricate indie electronic pop in the vein of Passion Pit through his project Saint Mesa. Born in Mission Viejo, California, he started composing songs amid a teenage illness that kept him moving in and out of hospitals across two years. His early singles drew from Animal Collective, Massive Attack, Glass Animals, tribal percussion, world music, and his Chilean roots, prompting licensing interest from brands such as Electronic Arts. Interscope Records responded by signing Saint Mesa and issuing the debut Jungle EP in late 2016. The 2017 singles "Beads," "Maderas," and "Lion" came next as he prepared his first full-length album.
