Born on November 25, 1991, in Atlanta, Georgia, Jamie Grace has built a career as a Christian singer, songwriter, rapper, and multi-instrumentalist proficient on guitar, piano, ukulele, and drums while also pursuing occasional acting. Music had long held her interest during childhood, yet the 2003 Tourette syndrome diagnosis at age eleven prompted a deeper dedication to the craft. She fuses folk, country, hip-hop, and reggae into a bright, optimistic sound that recalls a CCM counterpart to Colbie Caillat, initially sharing cover renditions and original material on YouTube. There tobyMac encountered her work and signed her to his Gotee record label in 2009 at age nineteen. Both a single and an EP titled Hold Me surfaced in early 2011, with the full-length One Song at a Time following later that year alongside the second EP Christmas Together. By 2014 she had completed her next album, Ready to Fly, shaped by producers Chuck Butler, David Garcia, and Christopher Stevens; strong reviews accompanied its arrival as her first project to reach the Top 40 on the album charts. A holiday release, The Christmas Collection, appeared in 2016, succeeded in 2017 by the studio album '91.
