Kosher

Kosher originated in the modest community of Warrensburg, Missouri, during 1995. Initially formed as a trio, bassist and vocalist Remi Remlinger, guitarist Trent White, and drummer Rob Garrow connected while still in high school, where they performed at local venues and developed original material. Once they began touring, the group shared bills with acts such as the Murder City Devils and Leatherface. During these journeys they encountered Josh, who first joined them on the road as a touring bassist in 1999. The band retained him permanently, shifting him over to guitar to achieve a richer overall sound. Prior to inking a deal with the punk imprint BYO, Kosher put out a pair of EPs—Bored in America in 1999 and Death to Drama in 2000—and later delivered their debut full-length, Self Control, in the winter of 2001.
