Lah Pat

Patrick Simmons records under the name Lah Pat, merging the seductive contours of R&B with the measured force of hip-hop to produce polished tracks equally suited to intimate listening and lively gatherings. A clear demonstration of that balance appeared in his 2022 single “Rodeo,” which draws on a Ginuwine sample and quickly generated multiple remixes, among them a version carrying new verses from Flo Milli.

Raised in New Orleans within a musically active household, Simmons shifted to Houston, Texas, once he decided to build a professional career. His earliest material surfaced in 2020; after the singles “Mind Made Up” and “Ignored,” the 2022 track “Rodeo” brought him wider notice. Its initial cut, constructed around an interpolation of Ginuwine’s 1996 sexually charged hit “Pony,” included a guest turn from Big Jade, yet mounting popularity soon required further remixes. A 2023 edition featuring rapper Flo Milli amassed tens of millions of streams in short order, while the same year also brought the standalone release “Kamikaze.”
