Lifesick

Emerging from Denmark, the metallic hardcore outfit Lifesick fuses the raw intensity of contemporary breakdowns with the relentless force characteristic of Swedish death metal traditions. The ensemble came together in 2015, featuring frontman Simon Shoshan on vocals alongside guitarists Nicolai Lindegaard and Nikolai Lund, with Jeppe Riis Frausing handling bass duties and Jeppe Løwe on drums. Their lyrics delve into mental health challenges and various personal hardships, which helped them gain traction within the extreme metal scene through powerful releases such as 601 in 2015, followed by Swept In Black in 2018 and Misanthropy in 2022. After securing a contract with Metal Blade, Lifesick broadened their audience via the 2024 EP titled Love and Other Lies.
