Loui

Emerging from Atlanta's College Park neighborhood, Loui absorbed the sounds of Southern rappers T.I. and Slim Thug throughout his early teenage years. He initially devoted time to basketball before directing his energy toward music and issuing his first tracks in 2018. The independent single "Shake Dat (Come Here Girl)" spread rapidly through social media in 2019, leading to a TikTok-tailored remix that brought in Lil Jay.

Loui moved from self-released material to a partnership with Run-iT-Up Records, which issued his 2020 project Wass' Goin, and he joined forces with DJ Chose, Lil Jay, and Saweetie on later singles. Throughout that year he also put out a re-recorded edition of "Shake Dat," additional standalone tracks, and the mixtape Sincere. The next year delivered greater visibility when "Talkin' Bout," his most-streamed recording to that point, arrived with Saweetie as guest vocalist.
