Biography
After serving as a backup musician for Annika Norlin's sparkling indie pop project Hello Saferide, Swedish singer/songwriter Maia Hirasawa found her footing in the early 2000s thanks to several sweet-as-pie, Björk-influenced demo tracks. Her strong Internet fan base prompted the Swedish indie label Razzia to sign her in early 2007, after which a number of much-hyped singles appeared, among them the bombastic and theatrical "And I Found This Boy" and the lilting and folky "Gothenburg." A few months following that, her debut long-player Though, I'm Just Me, was released.
