Biography
Recognized regularly as one of the world's most attractive females, Mayra Veronica, a Cuban-American model, transitioned into a solo music career thanks to her worldwide recognition. She entered the world as Mayra Verónica Aruca Rodríguez on August 20, 1980, in Havana, Cuba, before relocating to the United States alongside her mother upon reaching five years of age. Her father arrived the following year, leading the family to establish roots in a Cuban area within Miami, FL. Following extensive involvement in dance and beauty competitions, Veronica built her modeling presence initially through appearances on the Spanish-language network Univision, subsequently gracing the pages and covers of publications like FHM, King, and Maxim, along with featuring in numerous television advertisements, one of which included Lebron James. Having solidified her status as a globally renowned model known for her allure, Veronica launched her independent solo music endeavors in 2006 via the album Vengo con To'. Kike Santander handled the production for this project, which Roy Tavaré wrote for the most part, and it saw a 2007 reissue that incorporated additional tracks and an updated cover. Although Vengo con To' did not yield a significant hit, Veronica achieved her initial commercial breakthrough in music during 2008 with the successful single "Es Tan Dificil," issued in two variants including a reggaetón version that featured De la Ghetto.
